Founded by Restaurateur, Keith E. Davis, the first Golden Pear opened on Main Street, Southampton in 1987, followed by East Hampton in 1991 and Bridgehampton in 1996. Keith learned the restaurant business through many years of experience that began at the age of 14 washing dishes and prepping food at a local seafood restaurant. During his college years and studying electrical engineering, Keith worked four summer seasons at the famous Dune Deck Hotel located on the Atlantic Ocean in Westhampton Beach. There he refined his front-of house skills by initially bussing tables, then becoming a bartender, waiter and catering captain.
